Successful Roofing of 109M3 Roasting Furnace BAYANNAOER ZIJIN 200,000MT/year Renovation & Extension Project

9:30 am, 15th September, with the cracking sound of firecrackers, the last piece of high alumina brick was laid into the cap of the 109M3 Lurgi roasting furnace, the biggest one in China, and the furnace is successfully topped off. It indicates that the key part of pyrometallurgical system of the project – roasting furnace is ready for use.
The construction of the 109M3 roasting furnace is divided into four sections with three layers. The four sections are fluidization beeline section, tapered section, chamber expansion section and top section. The three layers are pasted asbestos Sheets, heat-insulation bricks and high alumina bricks. With the joint effort by Baryannaoer Zijin Non-ferrous Metal Co. Ltd. , Supervision party and construction party, the construction of furnace is completed more than 10 days ahead of schedule. Now the pyrometallurgical system of the 200000 MT/year Renovation & extension Project has entered the stage of full installation. |
