The Ministry of Science and Technology of the People Republic of China officially recently issued the document and approved to establish a second group of 56 Enterprise State Key Laboratories in the country. “Stake Key Laboratory of Low-grade Refractory Gold Resources Comprehensive Utilization” of Company is among the list, which achieves the historic break-through of our city and even our province in Enterprise Sate Key Laboratory, and represents that Company’s science and technology innovation system has leapt to a new historical stage.
The Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China has established and introduced Guiding Opinions on State Key Laboratory Building Relying on Reconstructed Institutions and Enterprises and launched State Key Laboratory building relying on reconstructed institutions and enterprises in order to put the Party Central Committee’s national policy of building an innovation-oriented nation into practice, implement the spirit of National Science and Technology General Assembly and Planning Outline of Domestic Long-term Science and Technology Development, create the environment of encouraging independent innovation, and promote technology innovation system building with enterprises as the mainstays, market-oriented and combing production and research since 2006. Each department of Ministry of Science and Technology started up the building of a first group of 38 Enterprise State Key Laboratories only relying on 10 enterprises. It is the first time for Basic Department of The Ministry of Science and Technology to organize this year. After the examination and approvals by all levels of competent departments and reviews by experts, the doorsill is very high with huge degree of difficulty and very fierce competitions.
State Key Laboratory building relying on reconstructed institutions and enterprises is an important component of national science and technology innovation system, is an important basis for carrying out basic research of industrial application, gathering and training outstanding scientific and technical talents, and starting science and technology exchanges, is an important platform for developing common key technologies, enhancing radiation technology and promoting combination of production and research. Major tasks of Enterprise State Key Laboratory is to carry out research of advanced technology and common key technology in the industry, accelerate the transformation of basic research results and industrialization of science and technology results, study and establish international, national and industrial technical standards.

Company has meet the domestic leading level in non-ferrous metal’s geology, mining, metallurgy, environmental protection and comprehensive utilization of resources, achieved remarkable results especially in open pit steep wall mining techniques, low-grade gold metallurgy selection techniques, bio-technological extraction of copper, chalcopyrite acidic hot pressure/atmospheric pressure pre-oxidation, hot pressure/atmospheric pressure chemical catalysis and oxidation pre-treatment of refractory gold ores and other research and application of hydrometallurgical technology, timely resolve relevant key technical problems for domestic gold industry development, and made significant contribution in domestic comprehensive utilization of low-grade refractory gold and copper resources and industrial updating, which fully reflects the integration and combination of local and national goals, enterprise’s and national interests, and creates the path for the successful development of advanced application technological transformation and enhancing independent innovation of dominated traditional industries.
The declaration of Enterprise State Key Laboratory is carefully prepared and earnestly implemented jointly by the main organization of Technology and Information Department and the concerted cooperation of Mining and Metallurgical Institute under the direct care of Party and government leaders of Fujian Province and Longyan City and the direct leadership by Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Department and Longyan Science and Technology Bureau’s leaders with Group Company standing on the strategic level of cultivating Company’s strong sustained development capacity and building high-tech efficiency based international mining group. With the research and development input, research conditions, innovative team, and the overall strength of undertaking national key scientific research tasks, Zijin Mining Group passed the establishment of planned building plan and expert’s assessment of the respondent, stood out in the fierce competition, successively won many top research institutes and central enterprises led by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and was successfully approved to establish as Enterprise State Key Laboratory, which is the first Enterprise State Key Laboratory in non-ferrous metal enterprises, gold industry and Fujian Province (except independently listed city Xiamen).
State Key Laboratory of low-grade refractory gold resources comprehensive utility built relying on Zijin Group mainly delicates to floatation selection new technology development, new metallurgy selection pharmaceutical molecular design, biological pre-oxidation technology development, pressure pre-oxidation technology development, metallurgy selection process simulation and optimization, technology development of comprehensive utilization of waste water containing cyanide and arsenic, and technology development of stability treatment of waster residue containing arsenic in order to improve domestic gold resource utilization rate and protection level, promote the overall enhancement of technology and equipment of gold industry, enhance comprehensive utilization level and international competitive strength of gold industry, vigorously promote economic and social development and technological progress of the city and the province, and build the sharing and open platform of research and technological exchanges with domestic first-class talents, equipments, technology and results.
